Where in the world is Croatia?
The coastline of Croatia includes a
multitude of romantic islands in the Adriatic Sea. To the west lies Venice
and Italy, to the east are the
mountains and to the north is Slovenia and Austria. The surrounding sea is warm, clear and tranquil,
with graceful sail boats and dolphins. Summer days are hot and the
evenings warm - bring cool, tropical clothes.
The harbor villages reveal their past in the cottages of fishermen
surrounded by the fig and olive groves on limestone mountains. Most villages
have excellent restaurants and wonderful coffee bars. (Do you think that
Italian coffee is good? Try Croatian kava sa shlagom!)
Enjoy the bustle of sailboats and the fragrance of tropical
flowers. Our hotels sit by sea, with safe
areas for children to play, paddle and swim in the warm water. There are daily ferries
to the islands -
beautiful cruises from the ancient walled cities of Zadar, Pula, Dubrovnik
and and Split.
These cities were already old when the Romans arrived 2000 years ago.
Walk around Roman ruins, early Slavic churches and medieval city walls. Here you can buy
anything from a needle to a train, as the locals say. Zadar, Dubrovnik, Pula
and Split boast major
ferry terminals (with steamers to Istria and fast hydroplane boats to
Venice, international airports and train and bus stations with services to
all of Europe. These are Emerald Cities that you can visit to make your dreams come true.
Who is the Wizard?
Each summer, in many communities, kings are elected - and the coronations
are all-night
parties! We invite you to become the court Wizard - and learn skills that
you can use for the rest of your life! Join us on these
exotic islands for a learning vacation - edu-tourism - perhaps with your family. We invite
you to develop your skills in communication and relationships, and perhaps
to become a professional systemic coach, providing
essential coaching skills for your private practice, organization or community
... and your family can enjoy warm seas and a thousand islands.
Our summer schools benefit both beginners and professionals, with basic,
advanced and specialty workshops, and many real-life demonstrations. This
year's program has a business emphasis, with specialty workshops on success
coaching, blocks to success and interviewing skills. The program also includes
interesting workshops on ancient Hawaiian philosophy and healing, which
Martyn thoroughly "modeled" in Hawaii, where he began creating and developing
Soulwork
Systemic Solutions.
Soulwork Summer School
Our "Wizard" summer programs teach people how
to apply Soulwork Systemic Coaching in a variety of contexts, with an emphasis
on building and maintaining a profitable business or private practice. People are free to choose
which workshops to attend. There will also be evening talks and
demonstrations on topics
that are interesting to the audience.
The summer school staff include Martyn Carruthers
(Founder of Soulwork Systemic Coaching) and Kosjenka Muk (multilingual
Soulwork graduate).
Graduate Soulwork coaches can provide private coaching sessions. Tuition is primarily in English
with
translation as required.
Change requires a big MAC. The main elements:
MOTIVATION to do whatever it takes. AWARENESS of what is going
on, and COURAGE to face the sometimes challenging blocks. You can
find them here.

Iz
Recent Soulwork Summer Schools have been at island hotels. For example, Hotel Korinjak
is
on the seafront entrance to the harbor of Veli Iz. This budget hotel has about 80 guest
rooms (many with balconies) and two function rooms. It has a restaurant
(with a menu for vegetarians) and both indoor and outdoor coffee
bars.
Ferries
Croatian ferries offer sun
decks, coffee bars and spectacular views of the islands and mountains.
Expect about 1 - 3 hours for each journey. Tickets cost about 5 - 10
Euro (return) per person. A return fare for a car is
about 20 Euro. You can buy tickets at the harbor-front offices in Zadar,
Pula, Split and Dubrovnik.
