Soulwork represents a new wave of
coaching and counseling tools that explore and encourage emotional maturity,
healthy relationships and challenging life goals, as a path to meaningful lives.
focuses on a desire to
help people define and fulfill their goals.
This requires excellence in goal-setting (goalwork), non-verbal communication
(body language) and in quickly recognizing behavioral patterns or habits.
The primary developer of Soulwork is
Martyn attended the Royal Naval Medical School in England and later MIT and Harvard in America. He was certified as a NLP trainer and therapist in Canada in 1988. He was accepted as a teacher (kumu) of Hawaiian healing by native Hawaiian elders in 1995.
We emphasize exploring people's
goals and experience,
rather than telling people what their goals and experiences should be.
We adjust our methods to fit each person ... rather than trying to make people fit our methods!
We help people accelerate their personal development with personal,
online services that encompasses the totality of people, encompassing all facets of life,
including entanglements, conflicts and fixations.
evolve! Life goals
are often chosen by young adults, and are later modified.
A childish wish to be an explorer may evolve into a passion for scientific research.
Later this may become a desire to create social or technical advances.
This may evolve into a desire for community in which you can share your highest values.
Many goals are steps to more important goals ... and many important
goals are values.
(E.g. "I want a pay raise and a new car so that I can feel secure and successful").
Our Goalwork seems simple - and has hidden depths.
are an essential part of Soulwork.
These skills involve defining goals, evaluating the consequences of
reaching those goals, fine-tuning those goals, encouraging people to fulfill their goals,
and dissolving cognitive, emotional and relationship blocks to those goals.
Systemic Coaching refers to coaching people in human relationship systems,
such as partners, families and teams, and is more complex than coaching isolated individuals.
More advanced skills involve finding a stable experience of
integrity (we call this Soul)
and helping people use this experience as a basis for quickly resolving relationship problems,
limiting beliefs. problematic emotions and identity loss.
Beliefs are not facts ...
beliefs are feelings of
certainty about phrases or sentences.
Beliefs are generalizations typically based on either life experience or accepted from
other people. Many beliefs are ways of feeling connected to parents, family and teachers.
We help people change unwanted limiting beliefs and other emotional entanglements.
Values are abstractions of what is important.
Power, for example, or Stability or
People with particular values can be expected to act and react in predictable ways.
People's values evolve predictably, based mostly on their maturity and life challenges.
refers to behaving in ways appropriate to one's physical age.
Maturity involves managing negative emotions, internal conflicts and dysfunctional habits.
Emotional maturity is most apparent in relationship behavior.
trauma as events
that cause people to split off part of their identity or consciousness.
Trauma results in distorted emotional messages and immature behavior.
Personal Identity refers to who you are ... much more than the sum of all of your parts.
In Soulwork, a deep sense of identity is found in a transpersonal experiences of self-outside-time
... experiences of connectedness that often appear to transcend birth, life and death.
Many people have identified with other people, things and concepts.
Many people suffer identity loss and seek solutions.
Finding and stabilizing transpersonal experiences are a basis for our advanced work.
Relationships are often complex and emotions are often counter-intuitive,
yet relationship skills are rarely taught in schools or universities.
Many people copy their parents, or follow ideas suggested by TV, cinema and
popular music - with a predictable result of nation-wide depression.
Healthy relationship skills allow
people to relate and communicate in honest and
candid ways appropriate to the relationship ... whether with early family members,
friends, teams, partners, children or with other community members.
Each relationship type requires competence in different relationship skills.

Fractal by Martyn Carruthers
Relationship systems are complex. Every detail reflects other
details in a hall of mirrors.
All too often, effects seem to precede causes, and causes may be embedded within
'Russian dolls' of intentions, emotions, beliefs and communication skills.
Soulwork Training is
the process of learning our modern alchemy ...
dissolving emotional problems, accelerating maturity and changing
the consequences of relationship problems. We train people in 5-day segments.
The first eight segments are required for certification and registration.
(Why not test your knowledge and skills with our Final Coaching Exam!)
If individual excellence is smeared across populations,
Soulwork Coaches are people whom we have trained,
examined and certified as capable of helping
change their lives using our methods. Some Soulwork Coaches have private counseling practices or jobs
in which they help people solve their emotional and relationship blocks and achieve their goals.
If you are very good at what you do, and you can prove it,
you will always stand out from the crowd.
A Soulwork Trainer
is the apex of our training ... a master of change-work ...
a person who can help most people change their emotions, relationship habits and lives ...
and a person who can train people to train others. To become a Soulwork Trainer you will
work closely with Martyn and / or Kosjenka. Contact us to learn to handle all the common
challenges of coaching people to solve their emotional and relationship blocks.
